Lights, Camera, English: Our Unforgettable Week
written by: Baldessarini Lina (3b)
The classes 3a and 3b had an eventful week, where we were only allowed to speak in English. Four native speakers from the Stafford-House School in Canterbury visited our school and helped us to improve our English. Each class was split into two groups with two teachers that would switch groups after every lesson to keep things fun and interesting.
In the first four lessons we played a few games, did exercises in our books and of course only spoke in English! In the fifth lesson we worked on our own projects. Some people did a new band, some a new Netflix show and so much more. Everyone did a fantastic job and finished their projects by Friday and presented them in front of their class.
In the sixth and last lesson of the day we worked on our plays. All four groups did their own show with one of the teachers. The groups worked really hard and had a finished play ready for Friday. Then on Friday we performed them out in front of our parents. Our parents were invited to see our shows and so many of them came.
The plays were incredible and we were so nervous. We had a murder mystery, a bank robbery, a celebrity meeting with stars like Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift and a channel-hopping show. In the end we got certificates of participation from our teachers. The English week was an amazing experience and we really hope that we will get the opportunity to do something like this again.
